Garbage Disposal

If your garbage disposal should stop working for any reason here is a list of steps you should follow: 1. Go to your circuit breaker and flip the breaker off for the kitchen area prior to reaching your hand or anyother object into the garbage disposal. 2. Clear out anything located inside the garbage disposal which could lead to the disposal being jammed and the motor stopping for any reason. 3. Turn the circuit breaker back on and then briefly flip the switch to the garbage disposal. Do you hear any noises coming from the disposal? If you hear a humming noise then there is power going to the disposal and the problem is with the disposaland not your electricity. 4. If you turn on the garbage disposal and no noise is coming from the disposal, find the small reset button on the disposal iteslef and press reset. Try turning the disposal on again. 4. If this does not work, try to reset the entire circuit breaker in order to restore the power to the disposal.
